Hey Friends!
Are you ready to DIVE INTO SUMMER? I’m ready to go somewhere, anywhere! With a few weeks of school left before summer break, it’s the perfect time for a Mother’s Day trip! I always want the same thing every Mother’s Day, time with my guys! Let’s take a look at a few of my favorite places to make quick memories.
Alabama Gulf
The Ultimate Guide to Alabama Beaches explores Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Dauphin Island, and Perdido Key. This “Crazy Sista” is ready for a night at Lulu’s or Flora-Bama’s. There’s nothing better than a competitive game of putt-putt with pirates to kick off the feel of summer.

30A on a BUDGET Weekend
Y’all know it’s my “Happy Place” and I love it even more without the crowds! Budget Weekend Guide to 30A provides a few affordable lodging options for weekends. I’m ready for a bike ride to an ice cream store!

St. Augustine
I know it’s early for the beach but let me give you a few more ideas then I’ll move along. Try the Nation’s Oldest City, St. Augustine. The Top 15 Attractions of St. Augustine Travel Guide explores the forts, pirate museums, beaches, and restaurants. If you haven’t been to St. Augustine, just trust me and GO!

Blue Ridge, GA
I’m going to let you in on a little secret, Blue Ridge without the crowds is better than the fall. It’s waterfall season and the hiking is perfection. Then, there’s the two days a year the MONKEY Sanctuary is open for tours on May 17 &18. That’s right, Blue Ridge has Chimpanzees. The hotels are cheaper and you have the town to yourself for the perfect weekend. Before I leave Georgia, don’t forget about pretzel hopping through Helen, biking by mansions on Jekyll Island and the mystery of Saint Simons.

Gatlinburg, TN
Gatlinburg is always a good idea for the Pancake Pantry and the Apple Barn. Gatlinburg’s rustic alpine charm is nestled into the Great Smoky Mountains, with enough mouth-watering restaurants, hiking trails, and family attractions to entertain for a month. If you just want a day trip vacation, try Chattanooga, TN, it’s simply delightful with history, caves and fish!

Kentucky Road Trip
If you have a few more days, enjoy Kentucky! Road tripping through Kentucky brings horse races, The Ark, Louisville’s Bat Museum, Zoos, and Mammoth Cave. Kentucky is a gorgeous state and the horses are worth every dollar spent to watch them race!

I hope you find a trip for a few extra family memories. If you want to stay near home, consider a fun day trip. I have the Anniston & Oxford Guide and the Atlanta Travel Guide with tons of ideas. I think the only people reading this, are related to me but if you aren’t from our town, come visit! Half my family lives in NC, so I won’t leave them out with The best things to do in Mooresville, NC. That’s what Mother’s Day’s about, spending time with those you love. Thanks for reading my travel guides!
